IN A LITTLE PLACE
Lord, I was in a little place, But Thou hast brought me out: Thy Word a lamp unto my feet, We scaled the walls of doubt. Out of the littlenes of self, The striving to be good, Into the great uncharted fields Of Thine infinitude. Out of the littleness of care, The worries that destroy, Into the large and sunlit place Of everlasting joy. Out of the littleness of pride, That choked and fettered me, Into the fragrant open air Of Thy humility.
came deeply convicted of sin and prayed, asking God to forgive me. He did, and I took Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Right away, I realized that I was a new creature in Him. I can’t begin to explain how happy I was. Then, in 1956, our family moved to Japan where my father had re ceived an appointment to work in the Chinese embassy. Still my parents did not know Christ. How I prayed that they too might find the joy of Him in their hearts. Just a few months ago, this prayer was answered. Then my sixteen year old sister ac cepted the Lord. Now, our entire family is Christian. The change that it has made in our home is unbeliev able. Previously my mother and fa ther had no religion. Now, they want to live only for the Lord Jesus Christ. We all not only love each other more, but also we desire to tell others of the love of God. The Lord led me to BIOLA in a very wonderful way. How I praise Him for it. My only goal is to glorify His name. If it is God’s will, after my time of training, I hope to return to my native land to tell my own peo ple that Christ Jesus came to this earth to save sinners, and that by be lieving on Him they might have eternal life. Pray for the spiritual needs of the Orient, especially in these days of trouble and turmoil.
