W ise Men?

To their contemporaries the Wise Men must have seemed to be the most foolish of all the peoples of the East.

Were they not wise . . . $ to believe God’s Word and to walk in its light, to be lieve that what He has said He will do? yfr to obey His Spirit with willingness to go in untrodden ways, like Abraham? to be adventuresome, to leave beaten paths and old ways, and to hitch their future to a star? jjp to see the King beyond the humble surroundings of that Bethlehem house? £ to plan carefully their stewardship for the Saviour, and then to give it all to Him for whatever use He might have for it? to leave it all with God-the faultfinding of well-mean ing friends and the caustic comments of critics, the studied indifference of the cynical, and the hatred of a Herod? The centuries have acclaimed their wisdom! He who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour may not be considered wise, according to some of his companions; but eternity will acclaim his wisdom.

We at Wheaton thank you who have shared in helping us to proclaim this message throughout the world for nearly a century of Christmases!
