Were there any bigger stunts, emotional moments or set pieces this season that fans should be excited for? “There’s a big climax scene for me at the end of episode ten. What I loved about my journey this season is that you get to see him go back into the field, and that’s where you really see him come alive. In the office or even at home, he seems like an animal out of his environment and somewhat lost. But when he is out in the field, you think – this is it, this is where he comes into his own. There’s a big stunt sequence in the final episode that’s fantastic. There are plenty of emotional moments too, moments where you can see him crack under pressure. “One thing I always felt was a re- al challenge with this character is that he has no crutches or vices. From what I read in my research about double agents, a lot of them turn to alcohol or drugs, but he doesn’t do that. His real addiction is being back out in the field; that’s his fix. Finding the emotion- al beats around Samia this season was important too. There were moments where we were set to have a more in- timate scene together, and I made the choice not to play it that way. I wanted the audience to crave that intimacy be- tween them, to want it to happen, but instead what they get is something clos- er to a confession, and that felt more accurate for where he is at that point in time.” Why do you think viewers should tune in to season two? “Viewers should tune in as there’s a real payoff on the investment of sea- son one. There are a lot of shows in this genre right now, but I genuinely believe ours stands apart in terms of authen- ticity. In the first season, we laid down a very granular world – what it takes to operate in this world, what happens inside the agency, the research, the col- lective intelligence that goes into it, and, of course, what it means to be out in the field. The Agency feels like the real deal, and - as I think you’ll agree - this season is relentless. This is the kind of show where you finish an ep- isode and immediately want to watch the next one.”

Kod svog lika ove sezone mi se sviđalo to što ga pono- vo vidite na terenu, a to je mesto gde on zaista cveta. U kancelariji ili čak kod ku- će, deluje kao životinja van svog prirod- nog okruženja i donekle izgubljeno. Ali kada je na terenu, pomislite – to je to, ovde je svoj na svome. Postoji jedna veli- ka kaskaderska sekvenca u finalnoj epi- zodi koja je fantastična. Ima i dosta emo- tivnih trenutaka, kada vidite kako puca pod pritiskom. Jedna stvar za koju sam uvek sma- trao da je pravi izazov kod ovog lika jeste to što on nema nikakav oslonac ili porok. Iz onoga što sam pročitao u svom istraži- vanju o dvostrukim agentima, mnogi od njih se okreću alkoholu ili drogama, ali on to ne radi. Njegova zavisnost je zapravo povratak na teren; to je njegov fiks. Ta- kođe je bilo važno pronaći emotivne tak- tove oko Samije. Bilo je trenutaka kada je planirano da imamo intimniju zajednič- ku scenu, a ja sam odlučio da je ne odi- gramo na taj način. Želeo sam da publi- ka žudi za tom intimnošću između njih, da želi da se to desi, ali umesto toga do- bijaju nešto što je bliže priznanju gre- ha, i to je više odgovaralo poziciji u ko- joj se on nalazi. Zašto gledaoci treba da pogledaju drugu sezonu? – Treba da je pogledaju jer postoji stvarna naplata za sve ono što su uloži- li gledajući prvu sezonu. Trenutno ima mnogo serija ovog žanra, ali iskreno ve- rujem da se naša izdvaja po pitanju au- tentičnosti. U prvoj sezoni smo postavili veoma detaljan svet – šta je potrebno za operisanje u ovom okruženju, šta se de- šava unutar agencije, istraživanja, kolek- tivnu inteligenciju koja stoji iza svega i, naravno, šta znači biti na terenu. „Agen- cija“ deluje kao realan život i, verujem da ćete se složiti, ova sezona je neumoljiva. Ovo je tip serije gde završite epizodu i od- mah želite da gledate sledeću.

Sadly, I think experiences like that may become less common as our industry changes, so being there and shooting those scenes meant a lot to me. I was also in Morocco, although on- ly for a day, and I really enjoyed being able to visit different locations and show the scale of the story.” What was your most challenging scene to film? “It’s hard to single out one particular scene. As a producer on the series, I’m always thinking about the trajectory of all the characters and trying to find pri- vate moments for Mađrtian. Honestly, that was probably the trickiest part for me. The challenge with him has always been playing someone who gives nothing away – someone you wouldn’t remem- ber entering or leaving a room – while still finding small moments where he re- veals himself to the audience.
