Simon Dyson OA (1959-67) came to Dulwich as a boy from Reedham School, an establishment for homeless children. After passing the 11+, Simon studied at the College at the time of the Dulwich Experiment wherein 90% of pupils, including Simon, held full-fee awards from local authorities. These grants enabled Dulwich to become one of the foremost independent schools in the country. Simon excelled at the College, particularly at cricket and rugby. After Dulwich, Simon spent 37 years at IBM. Since retirement, Simon has spent most of his time volunteering, including his recent presidency of the Alleyn Club and as Chairman of the Surrey Cricket Foundation.
