Un « Voyage polyphonique » à Plantagenet
Capsules vidéo sur les autochtones de l’Ontario
Le Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE) et les artisans de L’écho d’un peuple ont récemment mis en ligne sur YouTube les quatre premières capsules de leur websérie jeunesse Toutes mes relations . En créant ces vidéos d’une quinzaine de minutes, le réalisateur Félix Saint-Denis a tenté d’illustrer le mode de vie de différentes Premières Nations à l’époque des premiers contacts avec les Français, les liens culturels modernes qui unissent Franco-Ontariens et Autochtones ainsi que les enjeux de ces derniers. Ces quatre premières capsules portent sur les Anishinabés et les Cris, les Wendats, les Haudenosaunee et enfin sur les Métis.
Les élèves de la troupe musicale « ESPrit d’Show Musique » de l’École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet ont présenté leur spectacle annuel intitulé Voyage polyphonique , le jeudi 8 février. Le spectacle comprenait11 compositions originales en plus de quelques piècesmusicales remixées pour l’occasion. M. JocelynGodin, enseignant demusique à l’école, a participé à l’organisation de ce spectacle avec la troupe. —photo fournie
