Reception Prep School
Reception had their first class assembly this week (Thursday). They have been learning all about people who help us and enjoyed sharing this information to their parents on Thursday afternoon. Reception have created their own paintings around the topic and are really enjoying their Police Station Role Play area - which is a lot of fun!
Year 3
It has been another action packed week of learning in Year 3. In Science we have found out how rockets take off, and even made our own mini rockets. In English we have created our own version of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' titled 'The Three Dopey Dogs and a Cool Cat' using a story hand to plan our story. We acted out the story, and had an in class mini disco wearing cool caps and sunglasses. Mr Matthews enjoyed joining in with the fun too! Well done to all of the incredible children in Year 3 for your learning this past half term.
Charity Bake sale
Today we celebrated our global charity, Edukid, with an own clothes day and bake sale. Thank you for the many kind donations, both monetary and in cake, we raised £455.33. Today ’ s fundraising has gone a long way to meet our annual commitment to supporting the village of Kampong Takong in Cambodia.
Later in the year we hope to have the chance to speak directly with children in the village and find out all about life in Kampong Takong.
