TUCKER HOUSE TO RECEIVE RENOVATION GRANT

in Clarence-Rockland. The federal government will provide $85,990 to the landmark, and the pro- vincial government will provide $71,651. This together with $57,334 to be provided through Clarence-Rockland’s budget will fund safety and accessibility improvements to the Tucker House Renewal Centre, including preventative fire measures, durable driving surfaces, accessibility ramps and renovated washrooms. There is no word yet on when the impro- vements will commence.

The federal and provincial governments are investing in infrastructure across Ontario, and a beloved Rockland land- mark is receiving some goodwill. The government has announced that as part of the Community, Culture and Rec- reation Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, almost $40,000,000 will be given to renewal projects across the province of Ontario. Among these projects is a grant that will be given to Tucker House
L’arena du CIH accueillera l’Expo Clarence-Rockland les 14 et 15 mai. L’Expo annuelle de la Cité de Clarence- Rockland présente les entreprises locales et les groupes communautaires auxquels les résidents peuvent s’intéresser. L’Expo est organisée par Anne Lizotte Commu- nications et est parrainée par la Cité de Clarence-Rockland, Desjardins, la Chambre de commerce de Clarence-Rockland, Chez Lili Party Rentals, Hot Country 92.5, 94.5 Unique FM, et FM 92.1. Pas moins de 100 exposants locaux participent à cette 10e édition. «L’Expo Clarence-Rockland est l’événe- ment commercial local le plus important de la région, car il permet de promouvoir le meilleur de ce que Clarence-Rockland a à offrir», a déclaré l’organisatrice Anne Lizotte. «Du Rockland United Soccer au Club Optimiste, l’Expo présente des organisations et des groupes». L’Expo donne aux entreprises et organisa- tions locales l’occasion d’entrer en contact avec les résidents et de leur faire connaître les services disponibles dans la commu- nauté. L’exposition sera ouverte aux visiteurs à l’arène du CIH de 10 h à 17 h les 14 et 15 mai. L’entrée est gratuite, mais certains événements supplémentaires nécessitent un billet. Il y a également des ateliers d’art fluide le samedi et le dimanche, l’un à 10 heures et l’autre à 13 heures chaque jour.
