Many times, especially at the start of a new year, we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our day-to-day lives. While we think of insurance as something important to have, we don’t take the time to understand just how important the coverages are that we have attached to our policies and how they protect us and our properties.
Especially when it comes to home insurance, it’s important to take enough time to understand all of the main coverages on the policy. To find a list and explanation of all of the coverages within your policy, we encourage our clients to locate the Checklist of Coverage, which is located within your policy packet from the insurance company. If you are purchasing a home in Florida for the first time, you may not be familiar with all of the unique aspects of our state’s insurance. This is where the Checklist of Coverage comes in handy — it serves as a great resource to outline exactly what is and is not covered.
