Job Purpose The UPP student accommodation portfolio is growing and we require an Assistant Technical Asset Manager to join our expanding Asset Management Team to deliver aspects of Asset Management for UPP Management Limited such that UPP achieves its aims and strategic priorities. The Assistant Technical Asset Manager will work in an existing asset management (& life cycle) team and be supported by 3 other Technical Asset Managers who have considerable experience and knowledge of all UPP sites. Responsibilities • Provide assistance to manage, coordinate and undertake condition surveys in order to prepare sinking fund plans for agreement and approval by UPP colleagues, university partners and SPV Boards. • Provide assistance to prepare and manage the delivery of the annual sinking fund plans (including forecast expenditure) for each site within the Technical Asset Manager’s region or as required by the Head of Life Cycle. • Provide assistance in preparing annual sinking fund report packs and Board reports including reviews and analysis of historic performance, summary of the forecast works proposals for 3 years ahead, and a ten year look forward life cycle cash flow and investment plan. • Undertake regular site visits to assess the condition of buildings and report on remedial action required to prevent deterioration of the asset which might lead to contractual non-compliance or loss of revenue and/or Health and Safety risk. • Provide assistance to manage the procurement of sinking fund budget spend including; carrying out due diligence on suitable contractors, preparing tender packages (including National Framework tenders), tendering and tender evaluate with site representatives.
• Provide assistance in the preparation of Project Plans for each site including tracking forecasted sinking fund works against agreed the approved forecast and budget.
