STATUS: PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION (37.5 hours per week)
SUMMARY: The administrative assistant reports to the Foundation coordinator. The incumbent must work on a daily basis with many internal and external clients, including the hospital staff, the volunteers, the members of the Board of directors, the suppliers as well as the members of the public. Human relations are a necessity for the success of the Foundation. The Administrative Assistant must provide the logistics for meetings, committees, special events, namely the layout, sending notices, obtaining documents from the committee members, sending all presentation materials, confirmation of attendance and booking for catering services. The incumbent should also assist in the planning and implementation of activities as requested and prepare minutes of meetings. REQUIREMENTS 3 to 5 years of experience in administrative support in a non-profit organization. A college diploma in business administration or related fields. Accounting and basic knowledge of fundraising principles would be an asset. Has shown skills in administrative management by achieving short and medium term goals. Strategic and organizational thinking proven by the realization of successful projects. Proven ability to undertake independent work in a rewarding work environment. Openness and strong willingness to work with teams of volunteers. Highly computer literate with MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Prodon would be an asset. Bilingualism is mandatory.
