guide us with His eye as Scripture suggests, He must first of all catch our eye. How extremely vital is that earnest look regularly through out the day. Too often we have our visual perception focused on something else which can never bring us the direction we so des perately need. If you are serious about know ing the Lord's will for your life, honestly seeking it, then you must be prepared for Him to guide you into new ways. It is exciting to realize that Cod is so creative in His infinitude. As you continually trust Him, He will reveal His will and His way to you, directing you into ever widening and evermore interesting trails to follow. How tremendous this is when you really think about it. Spiritual maturity enables us to know more of the Lord's will. It is a fact that while purity may be instantaneous, maturity is very gradual. It is the result of study, improvement and spiritual achieve ment. If you are spiritually mature, and really want to know God's will, you will readily accept in struction. The mature person is teachable, humble, constantly seek ing, leaning, developing and al ways improving. There is work to do, and there comes the moment when we need to become spir itually mature in order to serve (Ephesians 4:12-14). There must be stability of purpose, rather than being tossed about by every wind that blows. The mature believer who wants to know God's will has the ability to be governed by prin ciples instead of only by his emo tions (vs. 15). Every believer has a part cooperatively in the body of Christ (vs. 16). Our faith should
MANY THINGS How troubled am I about many things? Like Martha, am I weighed down by my tasks? Or do I take the duties each day brings In happy sequence, as the one God asks? And if I add more work than should be mine, However worthy, then I am to blame If anxious moments cloud the real design He has for me to glorify His Name. One thing is needful, just a trusting heart, Believing God sends only what is best. To worship Him with all I do, my part, And In His Presence, while I'm working, rest.
