The Russell Kin Club’s Catch the Ace lottery might be over, but its dona- tions are still making their presence known. Following its second Catch the Ace lottery, the Kin Club of Russell started to divide the profits amongst its participants with a cheque of $28,045.58 to Victo- ria’s Quilts Canada. “We partnered with 7JDUPSJBT2VJMUT$BOBEB 3VTTFMM.JOPS Hockey Association and Cystic Fibrosis Canada for this last session of Catch the Ace lottery,” explained Kin Club President Cindy Anthony. The Kin Club of Russell reached out and requested partners to join them in selling Catch the Ace tickets, which in turn generated revenue for these organizations. Victoria Quilts Canada, through the Russell Friends of Victoria’s Quilts, sold over 6,000 tickets on their own to ben- efit their charity. Victoria’s Quilts Canada provides, free of charge, handmade quilts and carrying bags for cancer patients, to help them through their fight. Over their last 19 years, they have provided close to 70,000 quilts to cancer patients. -FECZ.BSJF$MBJSF*WBOTLJ UIFUFBN sold Catch the Ace tickets throughout the area. «Words cannot express my gratitude to everyone that bought Catch the Ace tickets in support of Victoria’s Quilts,” said Ivanski. “This incredible amount will help the hard-working busy quilting bees to continue to make comforting loving quilts for cancer patients. I would also like to thank and congratulate the Kin Club of Russell for all the hard work they do for the betterment of our community, and thank them for accepting us in the draw».
