pass the same way we have without having to go through the same trials and tribulations, the same struggle and strife, and the same discouragement and difficulty that we did. What a gift that is to give someone else." Brother Rosemond has a perspective on both truth and justice. "Truth is not something that the law seeks in that during a jury trial, the jury while they may be seeking the truth, they may not many times find it for a myriad of reasons. The rules of evidence, the quality of lawyering and the process in which twelve people from all walks of life come together and make a decision based on the facts that were presented to them. Do they reach the truth? Maybe or maybe not. But that is the system in which we have and I would say it’s the best system in the world. In regards to justice, that is even more difficult because it depends on which side of law you are on. We live in a society where I believe “you have to prove yourself not guilty.” Although we live in a society in which the US Constitution says “every individual is presumed innocent,” that simply is not the case. Human nature, our life experiences do not allow for us to presume a person to be innocent, no matter how hard we try or their lawyers talk about that principle of law. It is difficult in the courtroom battle to deal with that principle and it affects impartiality and liberty." As to what inspires him about his service in the law, "I like the interac- tion with different people on a daily basis from various walks of life. " As to his roles in Kappa prior to being Province Polemarch, Brother Rosemond shares that "I was ap-

I take my career seriously in that when a person comes to my office to see me, they are typically struggling with a difficult season in their life." The Rosemond Law Firm, P.A., was founded in 2002. "We repre- sent people mainly going through a divorce, have been charged with a crime, or have been injured because of the negligence or carelessness of another individual. Thus, in any of those events, the individual is dealing with a difficult situation in their life and what they are doing in hiring a lawyer is transferring that worry, stress from their shoulders too mine."

guidelines supported by the U.S. Constitution. Given the unique pro- fessional training education a juris doctor provides, Brother Rosemond believes that, "Lawyers should be in- volved in their communities because law school teaches you to think critically, and analyze a set of facts, which inevitably give you an advan- tage when dealing with problems in our communities." His motto is “ He, too, must cross in the twilight dim; Good friend, I am building this bridge for him,” from The Bridge Builder. "Many times in life we hurry along focused only on getting our own endeavors done and we forget that once we have learned the solutions in life or overcome something ourselves, that the greatest gift we can give to young people is to take the time to stop and build a bridge for them that can help them to
