Kappa Alpha Psi ® means achievement in every field of human endeavor. Achievement is defined as a thing that is done successfully, typically by great effort, courage or skill. As men of Kappa, each one of us must continue to put forth great effort to continuously develop our leadership skills in multiple areas so that whatever situation we find ourselves in, we can succeed. This is our calling and this is what I believe it means to be a Kappa.

Journal: What do you want to get out of the 83 rd Grand Chapter Meeting? Spencer: I would like to see a week of fellowship, connectivity and growth. It will be great to see brothers who come from across the nation and from every walk of life, fellowship and connect with like minded men who are dedi- cated to achievement in every field of human endeavor. Through these connections brothers will find opportunities to grow person- ally and professionally. Brothers will

also gain insights from other brothers in their field and to also obtain advice and gather insights from older brothers who have been there and done that.

Journal: What has been your favorite part of your service in the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter so far? Spencer: My favorite part of my service in WPAC is seeing the faces of the young men and women who receive scholarships to attend college. These scholarships represent an opportunity for them to do better and be better. That is the “why” behind what we do. Journal: What has been the most chal- lenging? Spencer: The most challenging aspect of our work is the naysayers. Just be- cause they have not seen it done, doesn’t mean that it cannot be done. It is a
