Over $31.9 million in Stronger NJ Busi- ness Grants and Loans has been approved to support 270 businesses in Ocean County; more than 620 businesses statewide have been approved for over $67.8 million in as- sistance. “We continue to make sig- nificant progress as we work to ensure that our impacted businesses are able to take full advantage of the summer season,” said Brown. Gaurang Jariwala, owner of Pine Rest Motel and several other motels in Toms River and Seaside, has already ob- served an uptick in tourism activity. Anthony Tardi, owner of Tardi’s Ristorante Italiano agrees that the business cli- mate is improving. “With more year-round residents back in their homes andmore seasonal rentals and hotels ready for va- cationers, this will surely be a stronger summer than last. We are excited to see our regular

elements such as a virtual concierge, as well as approxi- mately 9,100 s/f of high-end retail space. Construction of The Gate- way will be complete this summer. Leasing is currently underway at the community, which will open in September. “Judging by the high num- ber of renters who’ve already expressed interest in leasing a resident at The Gateway, it’s clear that the community is going to play an important part in the revitalization of the immediate area by meeting the township’s ongoing need for luxury housing options near the train station,” said Edward Ayuso of EEA Indus- tries, LLC. “We look forward to cutting the ribbon in Septem- ber and seeing the community come to life.” n Martin mansion concept was a perfect candidate for use in Melford Village, boasting 32 units over individual garages on the ground floor. DMR Architects is being honored for helping the city design regulations and flex- ible zoning to foster a revitalized downtown. “It has been an honor to help the City of Hackensack realize their vision for a more walkable and sustainable downtown,” said Francis Reiner, PP, LLA , and senior urban designer at DMR Architects. “Today’s Smart via tertiary alleys.
