Q-003 Safety and Quality Auditor Initial
This three-day course will introduce participants to the planning and process required to conduct 2nd party audits on Safety and Risk Management, and the relevant requirements from both a legal and international standards standpoint. It will also introduce participants to Quality Management, Management Systems, and Safety Management Systems in aviation.
By the end of this course, participants can expect to: • be able to successfully plan, prepare, conduct, and document internal and/or 2nd party audits • be familiar with relevant legal requirements and requirements from international standards related to management systems and audits • be aware of the importance of communication during audits, and of “communication traps” Specifically, this course will cover: • Introduction to Quality Management and Management Systems • Requirements of Quality Systems and Safety Management Systems & Management Systems in Aviation • Brief Introduction to Safety & Risk-Management • Auditing Technique, i.e. “Hard Skills” (The audit process and related tools) • Communication during Audit, i.e. “Soft Skills”

Current and Future Auditors, who must conduct audits as required by the Compliance Monitoring System, Quality System, or the Safety Management System. In addition to the theoretical topics mentioned above, there will also be a practical component used to demonstrate how to conduct audits, alongside discussions of relevant and helpful tools for the practical implementation.
