HOT|COOL NO.1/2021 - "Fuel, Flexibility & Green Transition"

Our green journey In cooperation with Lemvig Varmeværk

Our journey towards 100% recycling and the circular economy is marked by successful projects, confirming that green district heating is here to stay. This time our green pipes pave the way to (Rom)e, and once again we write another green history! “It is our duty to address the climate challenges and thus contribute to making a difference for the environment and future generations. We aim for 100 % recycling and circular economy, which indicates that once the service life of a pipe system has expired, it must be an option to reuse the materials”, explains Christian Schrøder, LOGSTOR’s Vice President of Sales in Denmark, and adds that the Rom project would not have been possible without our innovative partner Lemvig Varmeværk. Seven out of eight companies in the industrial area of Rom near Lemvig in Denmark have chosen to transform from heating with pellet and oil boilers district heating. Over the next 20 years, this will mean a saving of 4,550 tonnes of CO 2 .

Over the past 20 years, LOGSTOR has recycled its own plastic waste from HDPE material. This amounts to 1,000 tonnes of recycled plastic annually, which gives a total saving of 1,600 tonnes of CO 2 each year. We invite companies with green ambitions to join us on our journey towards creating energy efficient and sustainable district heating for the benefit of future generations.
