The doctrine of God, His existence, unity, trinitarian dis tinctions, attributes, decrees, and works. The doctrine of the Bible, revelation and inspiration, canonicity and authority; the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit. Origin and history of the Bible, canonicity and versions.
302. DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND SALVATION. (3)
The person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit. Special attention given to doctrinal departures in these areas and other themes related to salvation.
401. DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH. (3)
The doctrine of the church, its foundation, mission, ordi nances, and organization. Careful consideration of the dis tinctives, history, and polity of the denominations repre sented by the class. 402. DOCTRINE OF FUTURE THINGS. (2) God's prophetic program from the standpoint of the Dispen sational and Covenant schools with particular emphasis upon the dispensational approach. The nature and destiny of angels, of Satan, and of demons. The creation, nature, and fall of man, including the doctrine of sin. 405, 406. DOCTRINAL AND BIBLICAL RESEARCH. (2, 2) 403. DOCTRINE OF MAN AND ANGELS. (2) Reserved for senior Bible majors with emphasis on research methods and study of traditional and contemporary prob lems in Biblical and doctrinal areas. Limited enrollment with consent of the department. MISSIONS Objective. The objectives of the Missions Department are three fold: (1) to help train men and women for missionary service; (2) to seek to make each student intelligently aware of the Church's w9rld-wide mission in view of its Biblical frame of reference and contemporary challenges; and (3) to emphasize the practical prob lems of missionary work. Missionary Preparation The Missions Department offers three distinct programs pre- paratory to missionary activity. These programs are: 1. Bible-Missions Program 2. Christian Education-Missions Program 3. Social Science-Missions Program
