Africa’s creative economy is one of the continent’s most visible global exports. Music, film, fashion, and art have demonstrated that African cultural production can scale globally and command global markets. The question AfriLabs began asking in 2025 is a natural one: what happens when that creative energy is paired with the technology and infrastructure to take it further? The AfriLabs Annual Gathering’s Creative Digital Economy Track put that question on a main stage for the first time - exploring how technology can scale Africa’s creative industries, create new economic models
