The milestone edition achieved two historic firsts - participants from 71 countries globally, and a strategic home at the UN - signalling growing global recognition of Africa’s innovation leadership. More than a convening, AAG 2025 positioned Africa not just as a consumer of innovation, but as a producer of scalable, globally competitive solutions.
Annual Gathering (AAG), bringing together innovation hubs, startups, investors, and policymakers to foster collaboration. In 2025, it convened at the United Nations Office in Nairobi for the 10th AfriLabs Annual Gathering - co-hosted with UNDP timbuktoo under the theme “Building Resilience: Innovation, Inclusion & Shared Prosperity.”
