People: A Pan-African Team
AfriLabs’ ability to deliver across 53 countries is grounded in the strength and structure of its team. AfriLabs operated in 2025 with 51 team members across nine countries - Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, and Cameroon. The organisation recruited 17 pan-African staff and completed several internal promotions following a comprehensive Project Performance and Impact Assessment, which recorded an average performance score of 75.97 per cent. These were not just staffing decisions, but investments in delivery capacity, ensuring the organisation has the expertise and leadership required to execute complex,
multi-country programmes.
70% of staff received sponsored training through strategic partnerships with WIPO Academy and DisasterReady.org, addressing skill gaps identified through the appraisal process. A structured culture alignment initiative established a clear baseline for shared values and behaviours across the organisation, and the revised AfriLabs Employee Manual was launched in an interactive e-book format. People management partnerships with Grey Insights, AXA Mansard, SeamlessHR, LoubbyAI, Workforce Group, and CV People Africa strengthened talent acquisition, retention, and development at scale across a distributed, pan-African team.
