Communications, PR & Events: Reach that Reflects Impact
In 2025, AfriLabs strengthened its communication and visibility platforms as a core part of its delivery infrastructure - extending reach, shaping narrative, and connecting ecosystem actors at scale. We reached over 7.15 million people across its digital platforms - a 3.7 per cent increase from the previous year - driven by a deliberate content strategy that balanced ecosystem-wide narratives with programme-level storytelling. The organisation generated 56+ press mentions, 35 press releases, and 170+
media quotes, with coverage spanning TechCabal, Disrupt Africa, BBC, Channels TV, and Arise News.
A key focus was unifying AfriLabs’ messaging across programmes,
partnerships, and regional engagements - strengthening brand recognition and positioning AfriLabs as a credible pan- African ecosystem builder rather than a collection of disconnected projects. AfriLabs participated in 20+ high-level global events including UNGA, the AU Digital Summit, and AIM Congress.
How It Comes Together
AfriLabs’ delivery model is built on three interconnected systems: partnerships that unlock scale, platforms that extend reach, and people who execute across contexts. Together, these systems enable AfriLabs to operate not just as a network, but as infrastructure - connecting capital, knowledge, and opportunity across Africa’s innovation ecosystems.
