Pre-Medical: In addition to the general courses a student interested in entering the medical field should take courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. See the Biological Science or Physical Science majors for specific recommendations and requirements. Pre-Legal: In addition to the general courses a student interested in entering the field of law should take courses in modern languages, political science, economics, American history and government, and related subjects. Pre-Seminary: Biola College provides an excellent background in undergraduate education for seminary training. The general education requirements, the Bible requirements, and major field requirements in their total scope meet the requirements for admission into seminary. The pre-seminary student should check his program at Biola College with the requirements of the particular seminary he plqns to enter. DEGREES OFFERED The Bachelor of Arts Degree. Offered with majors in Art, Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Communications, Diversified (see Education Department), English, History, Humanities, Music, Physical Education, Psychology, Social Science, and Sociology. The Bachelor of Music Degree. Offered with majors in Applied Music , Music Theory and Composition, and Music Education. The Bachelor of Science Degree. Offered with majors in Biological Science, Business Administration, Mathematical Sciences, Nursing and Physical Science. All Baccalaureate degrees require a minimum of 130 semester units of credit for graduation. The Bachelor of Music Degree requires a minimum of 141 units. A degree in Biological Science requires a minimum of 135 units and Nursing a minimum of 137 units. The Master ofArts Degree . Offered in Christian School Administration (through the Education Department) and in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling (through the Psychology Department). TALBOT THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, the professional graduate school of Biola College, offers the Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, Christian Education, Missions, and Theological Studies. TALBOT also offers the Master of Divinity Degree and the Master of Theology Degree. DOUBLE MAJOR A student may be graduated with two majors. The following information is for those pursuing two majors: All pre-requisites and supporting courses for each major must be completed.

The second major must have a minimum of 18 upper divisio·n units unique to that major. The student must confer with the departments in which he will major and with the registrar. MINORS

Although Biola College does not require the student to have a minor for graduation, there are a number of instances in which a student may wish to take a minor, especially in planning for a career in teaching. By checking the various departments of the catalog, a student may determine if a minor is offered.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BACCALAUREATE DEGREES 1. Approval of the student' s graduation petition by the major advisor and the registrar. 2. At least the final twenty-four units must be taken at Biola College. 3. At least fifteen units (upper division level) in the major field must be taken at Biola College. 4. A "C" average (or a 2.00 grade point average) is required on all work taken at Biola College . 5. Attendance at graduation immediately following completion of requirements. Biblical Studies and Theology Requirement

Biola College is committed to a strong Biblical emphasis. A firm foundation in the Word of God is imperative for all God's servants, regardless of what type of ministry they may enter. A total of 30 units of Biblical Studies and Theology must be included in the program of each student according to the requirements of the American Association of Bible Colleges. Each student must take at least one course each semester until he has fulfilled the requirement.
