Not open to psychology majors. 302 ADOLESCENCE (3) The nature, needs, and problems of adolescence with special r eference to the adolescent's search for identity. 304 STATISTICS II (3) Correlation methods, partical correlation, multiple correlation, analysis of variance for the fixed-effects model, non-parametric statistics, linear regression. Prerequisite: 206 or 210 . 306 PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING (3) Introduction to the basic concepts of intelligence, aptitude, interest, and personality testing. Prerequisite: 206 or 210. 308 CHILD PSYCHOLOGY (3) The development of the child from conception to adolescence. Prerequisite : 206 or 210. Fall semester . 309 ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY (3) Discussion of the underlying causes of abnormal behavior, various types of behavior disorders, and modern therapies. 310 CHILD AND ADOLESCENT GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT (4) The physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual growth and development of the individual during childhood and adolescence; techniques of studying these ages applied; social forces affecting behavior; mental hygiene and personality development. Not open to psychology majors. 401 COMPARATIVE PSYCHOLOGY (3) Sensory and neurological equipment and behavioral capacities of animals at various levels; laboratory sessions. Spring semester. Alternate years, offered 1969-70. 402 SYSTEMS IN PSYCHOLOGY (3) Consideration of psychological systems and present trends; e.g., behaviorism, Gestalt psychology, psychoanalysis, and others; historical backgrounds of modern psychology. 403 THE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD (3) Problems connected with the understanding and training of retarded, gifted, sensory handicapped, neurologically impaired, emotionally disturbed, and culturally disad­ vantaged children. 59
