(10 minutes) In the coming sessions, questions and topics will be provided here for group discussion of your experiences in putting into practice what you learned each week. And God Said… Read these statements aloud and keep them in mind during the video. (5 minutes) • The “little moments” in your marriage are the most important moments. • A marriage of unity, understanding, and love is not rooted in romance, but in worship. • Your words and behavior are caused by what’s inside of you, not what’s outside of you. Petition Pray this together aloud. Read aloud Luke 6:43-45 . What is the Point? Patient Father, who are at work not only in our years but in our moments, open our hearts in those small moments when we would meanly treat our spouse, and give us instead to be kind, and to put the other first, which we are able to do through Christ, who is their Savior and ours. (30 minutes) 1. “The character of a marriage isn’t set in three or four big moments; the character of a marriage is set in ten-thousand little moments.” Think of just the previous week: what were some little-moment words or actions that your spouse said or did, by which you knew their love for you? What were some little-moment words or actions that you said or did, by which you may have discouraged or hurt your spouse? Discuss how years of such little moments sum to a greater significance in your marriage than a few big moments (such as your proposal night, or your wedding day). 2. Discuss some specific, practical ways to ensure that Jesus is Lord over you in your little moments.
