PimaCare at Home

Are you up to date on all your vaccinations?

Raskob-Paulus Caregiver Skills Lab

Well, that is a great question that several of us end up not having a firm answer to. Quite often people associate immunizations with babies and school aged children and many of us tend to forget as adults there are vaccinations that are highly recommended for our health. Immunizations are important as they are created to help prevent the spread of diseases. When people are vaccinated and are exposed to the disease for which they were vaccinated, their symptoms tend to be milder and many times are able to care for symptoms at home instead of a hospital versus an unvaccinated person. August being National Awareness Immunization month is a perfect time to follow up with your physician and ask if your vaccinations are up to date. When scheduling appointments, it is best

practice to have a list of questions ready including any concerns, timeframes, and questions regarding any conditions or medications you might be taking. Educating yourself about the vaccinations available and their benefits will allow you to make an informed decision. If you need any accompaniment to your appointment or assistance in your home after your appointment, you can arrange care with PimaCare at Home prior to the date of service. With certain vaccinations there can be listed side effects and taking precautions and planning will help the recovery process and allow you to feel better in no time! PimaCare provides free in-home assessments for short-term, long term, or as-needed care. Call us to set up your appointment today (520) 305-3445.
