Penalties for Failure to Properly Post Scores
A penalty score can be posted to a player’s scoring record by the Handicap Committee for one or more of the following reasons: •Failure to post a tournament round within seven (7) days of the tournament or no later than the 14th or the last day of the month. Multiple failures to post a score as a tournament may result in suspension of tournament participation for 30 days •Failure to post a non-tournament round by the 14th or last day of the month •Failure to adjust a score for Equitable Stroke Control •Posting a score higher or lower than recorded on the scorecard A penalty score is a score posted by the Handicap Committee that is equal to the lowest or highest handicap differential in the player’s current scoring record. If a golfer receives three (3) penalty scores, he/she may have their handicap withdrawn for 60 days. This will prevent participation in ANY event which requires a validated handicap.
WNHGO (Women’s 9-Hole)
CWGO - Career Women’s Golf Organization CWGO will be hosting regular 18-hole play on June 4 (ARL), June 18 (FFX) and July 9 (FFX). On June 11, CWGO will host its annual Keller Cup tournament at FFX. Entry fees are $15 per golfer, which includes prize money and event food. June 25 marks the start of the annual CWGO Match Play Championship that runs through September. The Match Play Championship is flighted based on handicap with three to four flights depending on the number of players. It will be held on June 28, at ARL. This year’s theme is “Mad Hatter.” Hole sponsorships are available at $50 per person and $75 for a business. Sign-ups for all CWGO events must be made through the ANCC website, accessible from the Golf Calendar. We look forward to welcoming new members. WGO-18 (Women’s 18-Hole) The Chairman’s Classic Tournament will be held on June 14 at Arlington with an 8:30 AM shotgun start, awards and luncheon to follow. Then the annual Member Guest Tournament, this year a combined WGO-18 and CWGO event, will be held on June 28 at Arlington with a 9:00 AM shotgun, awards and luncheon to follow. Sign-up is online via the Golf Calendar on the ANCC website. Play Day Information: League play is scheduled on Tuesdays at ARL and Fridays at FFX. Tee time sign-up sheets are available in the Pro Shops. Play is in foursomes and from the red tees at both courses.
