WE ARE STILL SERVING YOU! During This Difficult Time,

HOWCAN I KNOW I’MSAFE IN YOUR CLINIC? We understand that there is a lot of fear and uncertainty during this time. However, we can assure you that we care taking the necessary steps to make sure our patients are as safe as possible while they are being treated at our clinic. For starters, we will only be allowing 10 patients in our clinic at a time, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. This will limit the amount of people congregating in the same area at once and greatly decrease the risk of anyone passing any contagions to fellow patients. Additionally, we will be following strict sanitary protocols by making sure every surface in our clinic is thoroughly cleaned and wiped down at all times. This will decrease the risk of any potential germs lingering on surfaces. Although we know the hesitation is still there when entering a public place, we would like to bring you some peace of mind in knowing that we are taking health protocols very seriously and will be doing our very best to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and caution at all times. If you would like to know more about our health practices for staying open during the quarantine, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Our physical therapists are here for you. Schedule a consultation with OSR Physical Therapy today to discuss your questions, concerns, and needs at this time.

• Essential post-surgical care (for non-elective and elective surgery) • Critical post-neurological episode out-patient rehabilitation • Imperative gate keeper screening for patients, who may otherwise be unnecessarily entering emergent healthcare facilities At OSR Physical Therapy, we know we have an obligation to our community, now more than ever. Physical therapy can not only help the body heal as quickly as possible, but it can also help combat illness. The individualized stretches and exercisewe prescribe for your treatment plan are great ways to boost your immune system. When your body is in shape, it quite literally has more strength to fight off unwanted viruses. Aiming for at least 20-30minutes of physical activity a day can help strengthen not only you, but your immune system as well. Additionally, our physical therapists can help with nutritional services, which can prove to be a difficult task for many when distancing at home. Having a diet that is heavy on fruits and vegetables is perhaps one of the best ways to boost your immune system. The essential vitamins found inmany fruits and vegetables are key to making sure your immune system is as healthy as possible. Essentially, at OSR Physical Therapy, we are still here to help you with whatever you may need – give us a call today.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has been causing numerous health care facilities to shut down, we as medical professionals are diligently trying to serve our patients in the best ways possible without risking the spread of this disease. The sedentary lifestyle that I’m sure many people have experienced since being quarantined to their homes can actually lead to more aches, pains, and discomfort than one may think. Fortunately, we have you covered. As some may know, the Department of Homeland Security has deemed physical therapists as “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, OSR Physical Therapy will remain open and seeing patients during this time, while taking the necessary precautions tomake sure everything is sanitary, and everyone is safe. As Homeland Security states, “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility tomaintain your normal work schedule.” For more information on our safety practices for treating patients during this pandemic, and/or how your appointments might function differently, don’t hesitate to contact us. PHYSICAL THERAPY IS STILL NECESSARY Among other essential services, some of the most beneficial services we offer at OSR Physical Therapy include:

OSR Has Started Telehealth Visits!

Dear Patients and Friends, We are writing to you with exciting news that will directly impact the way we can treat you and offer you care! We now have an online telehealth platform called Doxy.me. This telehealth tool will allow you to access your provider and receive care in the event you aren’t able to access the clinic! We can use this telehealth tool in multiple ways to serve you. We can use it as a screening tool, for follow up appointments, wellness check-ins, exercise progression, and even for initial evaluations and treatments! We believe this will bring significant value to you as an option to enhance your experience at OSR Physical Therapy. You will still receive the same impeccable quality of care but it will be from the comfort and convenience of your own home or office.

All that is needed on your part is to email contact@osrphysicaltherapy.com, or call any one of our 7 clinics around the valley so they can set up your account. Once we have your account set up, you will be able to log into your patient portal. There are no extra fees to use this platform. You can use it on Mac, PC, and any type of tablet and smartphone. We are really happy to expand our reach as practitioners and to deliver more care to a wider scope. There are so many people that are currently unable to come in to one of our clinics to receive care, and if you are one of them, welcome to the next level of patient experience. We look forward to continuing to partner with you in your healing and recovery.

In Health and Gratitude, Aaron Williams Owner, CEO of OSR Physical Therapy

Stay Healthy with These Mighty Immunity Boosts

These Essential Vitamins and Minerals Are Key to a Healthy Immune System: Vitamin C helps your body boost its production of the antioxidant that is required by the immune system to function optimally. Vitamin C increases your body’s production of interferon, which is anti-viral. Vitamin C is also thought to help boost the production of white blood cells, key to fighting infections. Fruits high in Vitamin C include: grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, lemons, limes, kiwis and clementines. A single papaya has 224 percent of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin C. Red bell peppers contain even twice as much Vitamin C than citris fruits. Vegitables such as broccoli and spinach boast a good amount of Vitamin C as well as antioxidants. Vitamin D is another effective supplement to help boost your immune system. Look for Yogurt that is fortified with Vitamin D and that has a "live and active cultures" label. Vitamin D may stimulate your immune systemand boost

your body's natural defence against diseases. Vitamin B6 is vital for supporting chemical reactions in the immune system and for the formation of new and healthy red blood cells. B6 also helps your body make interleukin-2 which helps direct the actions of your white blood cells. Poultry, such as chicken and turkey, is high in Vitamin B6. Sunflower seeds are also packed full of Vitamin B6 as well as phosphorus, magnesium, and Vitamin E. Vitamin E is key to a healthy immune system as it helps to regulate and maintain function. It can be found in sunflower seeds, almonds, avocados, and dark leafy greens.

Steps We are Taking at OSR to Keep You Safe: As a healthcare provider, we understand our responsibility to keep our schedules open and provide a safe environment for our patients to heal. We want you to know we are diligently following CDC guidelines to provide an opportunity for our patients to work with our PTs under the COVID-19 circumstances. Your safety and healing are our top priority! We are focused on keeping our equipment and facilities clean. We are also in the process of reaching out to patients to check in and space out appointments, and are even moving one of our clinic locations so we can continue to keep our schedules open for our patients who need us. We will get through this together!

Zinc is also needed by our bodies to support a healthy immune system. Shellfish such as crab, clams, lobster, and mussels are all packed with zinc. Make sure to stick to the daily recommended amount 11mg for men and 8mg for women, as too much could actually inhibit the immune system. CAULIFLOWER HOT WINGS WITH VEGAN AIOLI
