T he North Central Province (NCP) team defeated the team from the Eastern Province (EP) to win the Quiz Bowl at the 83 rd Grand Chapter Meeting. All participating province teams were comprised of current un- dergraduate brothers. Keshon “Shon” Kelly (Danville (VA) Alumni 1997),
the national Quiz Bowl Chairman, organized this year’s edition of the Quiz Bowl which included creation of questions, coordination of time and schedules during Conclave, finalization of the game format and solicitation to provinces for partici- pating teams. One of the Quiz Bowl judges Andre Early (New Rochelle (NY) Alumni 1995) utilized social media to simulcast the competition via the fraternity’s Instagram page. Using the format of the game show Jeopardy ® , Quiz Bowl is a trivia game test- ing brothers on Kappa history, etiquette and protocol, and fraternity organiza- tional structure. As with the televised game show, Quiz Bowl had two rounds of questions and a final round to determine the winner. Quiz Bowl categories used to challenge the contestants included topics such as Founders, Sports, Grand Polemarchs, Protocol, Courtesies and Org Structure.
