North Central Province Wins the 2017 Quiz Bowl

• Amani Lee • Tyrae Johnson All team members from the first place Sly DI team received Beats by Dre headphones. The second-place team from the Eastern Province nicknamed “The Flagship,” which received Invicta wristwatches for their effort, was com- prised of: • Bernard Keen Jr. (Rho Theta 2015) • Devin Dixon (Rho Theta 2016) • Jamal Washington (Theta Psi 2015) • Osmin Ronquillo (Rho Theta 2015) In addition to the NCP and the EP teams, the two other participating teams were from the Northern Province, nick- named "Mighty NP," and the Southern Province, nicknamed "Gucci Nupes."

Thomas L. Battles, Jr. who thanked the participating teams for their involvement at Conclave, reminded the brothers that they are “the best of Kappa and its future,” and encour- aged the brothers “to keep working for Kappa.” Grand Polemarch Battles stressed to the contestants that Quiz Bowl was designed to educate brothers on the fraternity through friendly competition and has been a Grand Chapter activity for several years. Nicknamed “Sly DI”, the NCP team was comprised of Spring 2017 initiates of the Delta Iota of Kappa Alpha Psi® at Ball State University, Members of the winning province were: • Jalen Lee • Demetrius Ramirez • Avery Haynes

The Mighty NP team was comprised of members from multiple undergraduate chapters: • Kendall Smith (Sigma 2016) • Benjamin Barnes (Delta Nu 2016) • Christopher Griffey (Delta Pi 2015) • Aaron Parks (Delta Pi 2015) • Christopher Raxton (Delta Pi 2015) The Gucci Nupe team representing the Southern Province consisted brothers from the Kappa Kappa of Kappa Alpha Psi ® at the University of Alabama-Bir- mingham: • Terrance Parks (Kappa Kappa 2014) • Antonio Holmes (Kappa Kappa 2014) • Don Lundy (Kappa Kappa
