For this reason, leaders surround themselves with worthy contem- poraries and value-added partners to advise them on any subject they may require. In the world of politics, most Presi- dents look at their Vice Presidents and see their own mortality; often viewing the Vice President as a rival; having disdain for the Vice President; and usually fail to support the Vice President in his Presidential am- bitions to follow the President in office. In the world of business, the President and Vice President of a company rarely occupy the same space.
