Haynes: The most important job of the SPVP is to support the Province Polemarch. I believe the SPVP feels the pulse of the province. Haynes: Continue to work on Program Documentation and building a greater relationship with each chapter.

Your vision for the Province Must always be in the best interest of Kappa Alpha Psi ® . A good Senior should have a relationship with his Province Polemarch that allows him to be included on the decision making in his Province. Journal: Why do you feel the role of SPVP is so important?

Haynes: Compiling program documen- tation and being in charge of the Chap- ter Polemarchs/Chapter Advisors Retreat Journal: What does being a SPVP mean to you? Haynes: As the highest elected brother in the province, I don’t take this job lightly. I consider it the highest honor for the brothers of the Southern Province to place their trust in me. Being initi- ated into this fraternity more than 28 years ago, I never imagined that I would be where I am now in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Journal: Describe the importance of the relationship between the SPVP and the Province Polemarch. Haynes: The relationship is critical because when the SPVP has regular

plans for succession, the Senior position allows you the opportunity to train for leadership. It exposes you to Province and National issues that need to be ad- dressed for the success of Kappa. Journal: What are some things you hope to do for your province while being SPVP? Woods: I want to make Kappa user friendly for the Brothers.
