KAPPA NEWS: LAW AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

not everyone knows and personifies the definition of altruism and brotherhood.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

When I have time for myself, I enjoy playing tennis. I have played since junior high school. Other than that, I would enjoy taking piano lessons again. Q: Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself as a partner at a law firm. This has been my goal since I started law school, and I know it is attainable. My hard work, determination, network, and trust in God will help me attain this goal. I hope I can continue to help minorities diversity the legal profession, especially with African-Americans, as it is the least diverse profession. Q: Do you have any advice for un- dergraduates who aspire to become lawyers? My first questions for people who want to become lawyers is “do you really want to become a lawyer” and “Why?” These are important first questions to how I can help someone who is interested in the legal profession. A number of people who graduate law school do not practice law after 5-10 years, so these questions are paramount to ensuring that an undergraduate take an intro- spective look at why they want to take this journey to prevent taking on useless debt. This also prevents regret. After truthfully answering these questions, I recommend researching their interested areas of the legal profession and finding an attorney in that field to gain a better perspective. Finally, if ready to go to law school, please, please, please, take a LSAT class so you can get the best score possible!
