KAPPA NEWS: GUY L. GRANT AWARDEE—CHASE A. ROLLINS
B rother Chase A. Rollins is a 2016 initiate of the Xi Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi ® on the campus of the DePauw University. He recently graduated with a B.A. Degree in Biochemistry. He is currently taking a gap year working before going back to receive his Masters in Biochemistry. During his time at DePauw, Chase played for the Men’s Soccer Team all four years helping to lead his team to two NCAA tournament appearances. Following his initiation, Chase served as Polemarch leading his chapter to many accolades such as a Chapter of the Year Award and Most Outstanding Undergraduate Award from the North Central Province and a Chapter President of the Year Award from DePauw University’s Order of Omega. While serving as Polemarch, he also served as an Under- graduate Board Member for the North Central Province. Furthermore, Chase is a member of the 2016 Undergradu- ate Leadership Institute’s Eta Class. All of this while main- taining one of the highest GPAs of DePauw University’s NPHC council – 3.3 GPA.
L. Julian Scholarship Award, the highest award offered in Biochemistry/Chemistry department. He is a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity, and Chi Alpha Sigma Athletic Honors Society. Furthermore, he received the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Academic Award. It is evident that Brother Rollins’ young life epitomizes achievement and that he sees obstacles as opportunities to achieve in spite of not because of. We are thankful to Scott and Heidi Rollins, Chase’s parents, for God’s most precious gift to you has been a blessing to the Noble Clan of Kappa Alpha Psi ® . Let it be known that our brother exhibits the five objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi ® and that his diamond embodies the characteristics of Founder Grant. He is a student of achieve- ment, a leader among men, and a vanguard of excellence.
On campus, he continued to be recognized as one of the top students at his university. He has received the Percy
