How it’s done: While lying on your back with a small folded up towel under your head, tuck your chin towards your chest. Also, focus on putting pressure on the towel with the back of your head. Your head should maintain contact with the towel the entire time. CERVICAL SIDE BEND Neck stretches aims to increase the strength, tone and flexibility of the neck muscles. It also allows the ligaments on the neck joints to become more flexible and withstand increased stress to the area. Neck stretches improve the cervical spine and manage problems on the area. Neck stretches are also involved in physical therapy that aims to rehabilitate the neck muscles, joints and bones. How it’s done: Tilt your head towards the side, then return back to looking straight ahead. (Be sure to keep your eyes and nose pointed straight ahead the entire time.)
