Golf & Curling de Hawkesbury

A bright future on the green Since the 1960s, the Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club is the place to be for a one-of-a-kind experience. With more than 325 active members, the Club has a bright future, embracing a dynamic approach characterized by its members' passion and the course's uniqueness. With golf in mind, the Club wants to be an inte- gral part of the community, being a place where people can meet in a beautiful and calm setting, where sports and nature create an experience like no other. skills competitions and days of training with differ- ent stations on the golf course.”

“The golf industry is facing a tough environment these days, but we never compromised the qual- ity of the golf course,” said Club president Jennifer Brennan. “The time has come to offer a golf experi- ence that will not only please our actual members, but also cater to the younger crowd, new players, family and organizations.” The golf course is renowned for its mature, tree- lined fairways and elevated greens. While still being challenging for the serious golfers, it also offers a great experience to beginners and weekend play- ers. “Our course is on a professional level and truly unique in the region,” said former pro golfer and Club member Carl Desjardins. That’s why we will be hosting a Québec PGA tournament in June, a first in the region for such a high ranked circuit.” A professional tournament will bring lots of visibil- ity and quite a crowd to the Hawkesbury course and the club sees this event as an opportunity to promote the fact that its 18-hole fairway is the place where pros and amateurs share the same passion. “People can call us for courses and we do have a junior program for the 9 to 18-year-old,” said the club head professional and junior representative, Murray Champagne. “They can play as much as they want and they get golf lessons with trainers,

“People know about the golf part, but we’re also open to public for parties, weddings, evening din- ners and grand receptions,” said house / event and Marketing manager, Andréanne Roy. “We want the community to feel welcomed and have guests and families for some good times on the terrace or for Sunday’s brunch. The clubhouse should be the hip place to hang while still being a place of choice for golfers and the sport.” With that in mind, the Hawkesbury Golf & Curling Club will host a family brunch on April 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., to celebrate Easter. Weekly brunches on the terrace will also be a tasty invitation during the summer, from June 7 to August 30, a perfect time for friendly gathering. A good round, tasty food, and friendly meetings, the Club is the place to be and a big demo day with BBQ and music May 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be the perfect occasion to hit some balls for free on the driving range. Representative from Cal- laway, Ping and Titleist will be there to guide the golfers and offer equipment and technique advice and tricks. By opening its doors to the community while maintaining its golf tradition, the club has a bright future ahead.
