If I should ask th is morning how many of you loved Jesus, you would all say you did,- bu t if I should go to each of your homes and ask m other if you had been showing your love by your actions in th e home all week, could m other say yes too? Now we are all going to show more love afte r th is w onderful story on how to show our love. 562 o ther boys and girls who tried in every way they could to help m other and do ju st w hat she asked them , and did not say in words th a t they loved mother. Now which ones do you th ink really loved mother most? Those who showed th e ir love by doing th e things th a t m other wished them to do, and in th a t way they pleased m other and made h er happy. When Jesus was talk ing to th e people in th e temple th a t day, th ere were some who did no t believe in Jesus, and they said mean things about Him and asked Him many h ard questions, b u t of course He could answer them all, for Jesu s is God’s Son and He knows all things. A fter a while a very sm art man stood up and asked Jesus w hat was th e g reatest and most impor ta n t th ing in all th e world. Now we have the answer Jesus gave as our mem ory verse, and since it is th e most im p o rtan t th ing in all th e world, we w ant to remember it.' Here is w hat Jesus said, “Thou sh a lt love th e Lord thy God w ith all th y h e a rt.” : Now to love w ith all our h ea rt means to love Him all th e tim e, and no t ju st to love Him on Sunday, and th en fo rget all about Him on th e o th er days of th e week. Jesus w ants to help us love Him, and so He has asked us to love Him w ith all our h eart, and if we do love Him w ith all our h eart, we will w ant to do the things th a t please Him, th e things th a t are righ t, and show Him every day how we love Him by th e things we do. We will always stop and th in k w hether th e things we w ant to do would be pleasing to Jesus, and when we do this it will make Jesu s happy, and of course when we do th e rig h t things it makes our p aren ts happy, and we will be very happy too. Lots of people say they love Jesus, and th en they go rig h t on doing wrong things. Jesus says we show our love by th e things we do. Ju st like mother, she does no t have to tell us she loves us, she shows h er love every day by her loving deeds. Jesu s says the very best way for boys and girls to Show
