INTRODUCTION FROM THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

T hank you for your interest in the role of Head of Events and Conferencing at Keele University. Keele has ambitious plans for its future growth and development, building upon its reputation as a research-led campus University with a broad academic base. The University is large enough to have high impact and profile, but small enough to sustain its commitment to community and individuals. Whilst being rooted in its locality, the University is international in outlook and character and in the reach and impact of its education and research programmes. Keele is a well-respected provider of inspiring education, preparing graduates who make significant and wide-ranging contributions in their chosen fields. Students form a strong affinity with Keele during their studies and throughout their lives, as evidenced by our outstanding success in relation to student satisfaction, our significant alumni networks across the world and the active role our alumni take in the development of the University. As we look ahead to 2020 and beyond, Keele will be a University characterised by ‘aspiration and ambition’ – an aspirational destination for students and staff. We are seeking to make the key appointment to the post of Head of Events and Conferencing. The postholder will lead the Keele University Events and Conferencing Team in the development of University led and related events whilst optimising opportunities for the development of a complimentary Commercial Events and Conferences offer to the external market. This role is pivotal to position Keele University Events and Conferences as a leading academic venue providing outstanding events and conferences. If you believe you have the experience and qualities to lead a function that is integral to ensuring the continued success of the University then I hope you will pursue this opportunity.
