A second group of sailors then travelled to Picton for the Top of the South teams regatta, held at the Queen Charlotte Yacht Club. College had a slow start to the first two rounds on day one, only winning one out of four races during each round, but improved vastly over the next two rounds on day two to place 2nd in the Silver fleet after four rounds, with a total of 16 races completed. The final day was lost due to lack of wind, with College finishing 7th overall out of 14 teams. In the next two rounds they increased their win–loss ratio each round, with their best round being round 4, when they won three of eight races.
