RADIO MEETS CABLE: A MATCH MADE IN TECH HISTORY
The New Challenger: Radio
By the early 20th century, cables had built a global web of communication, but technology was not standing still. Guglielmo Marconi’s experiments in wireless telegraphy promised a rival medium. In 1901, he transmitted a Morse code message across the Atlantic, proving that the ether could carry voices and signals without wires.
