Q10 When you are thinking about colleges, there are certainly many things to think about. In these next questions, we'll ask about things that could be important to you in deciding which colleges to apply to. We'll show you sets of 4 possible considerations. In each set, indicate which one of these would be MOST important to you and which one would be LEAST important. There will be several sets.. These decision factors were ranked using Maximum Differential Scaling, which presented 12 rotated sets of 4 factors and asked respondents to indicate the Most and Least important factor in each set. Each factor appeared in at least 3 sets. Each factor is thus rated against every other factor, not one at a time. Individual factor scores are calculated for each respondent. The average score is displayed here. The scores, which sum to 100, indicate the importance of each factor relative to the other factors.
