The bill, S-2114 was previ- ously approved by the Senate Community & Urban Affairs Committee on March 3 in a 4-0-1 vote. Ron Rice (D-Essex); Sen. Sam Thompson (R-Middlesex); Sen. Jennifer Beck (R-Mon- mouth); Sen. Bob Gordon (D-Bergen); Sen. Ray Lesniak (R-Union), Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), and Senator Jim Breach (D-Camden).. This bi-partisan reform initiative is the NJAA’s #1 policy priority and is supported by the NJ Affordable Housing Management Association (JAH- MA), NJ Builders Association (NJBA), and NJ Association of Realtors (NJAR). S-2214’s companion, A- 3317, was approved by the Assembly Housing & Local Government Committee in a unanimous 5-0 vote on Dec 6, 2012.
