Enclosed is your 2022 Giving Statement. The accuracy of your financial contributions is very important to us. As we go into 2023, let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the Rock, upon Whom this church is founded, and let us continue to advance the Kingdom of God by being the hands and feet of Jesus to our community and beyond. The spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our neighbors have never been greater. This year will offer new challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows, successes and failures. Yet, as we seek to reach the unchurched and help them grow into fully devoted followers of Christ, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He Who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10: 23)
In 2022, we experienced many challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows, successes and failures, and through it all, our Lord has been faithful. We rejoice knowing He is sovereign, and He is good. Through the faithful giving of your time, your talents, and your financial resources, the truth of the Good News has been made real to those in need in our community by demonstrating God’s love through a people fully devoted to Jesus. The legacy vision established years ago is advancing and maturing as the next generation grows in their leadership roles in nearly every facet of our community. Watching our seasoned faithful come alongside to mentor and encourage them is truly inspiring. Doing life together as a community of believers is a beautiful thing. Jesus said, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

FROM ONE GENERATION TO THE NEXT FULLY DEVOTED 7 DAYS OF PRAYER
In 2022, we were determined to see a movement and transformation like we have never seen before in the history of Chesapeake Church. However, we know that before revival can happen in our community and world, it must first take place within each individual heart. Fully Devoted | 7 Days of Prayer was an opportunity for families to pray together every day for a week with a different topic for each day. Fully Devoted | 7 Days of Prayer
The first half of the night was lead by our Peake Kids team as they lead everyone, with the help of some little volunteers (pictured below), in an upbeat, Park-style, worship set! The second half of the night was lead by our Adult Worship team as we worshiped and praised God for all He has done, and all He has promised to do through generations. We want kids to grow up knowing that following Jesus is normal. Parents, you are the primary spiritual influence for your children and we are passionate about equipping and empowering you to lead your family spiritually and introduce your children to the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Prayer topics were taken directly out of Romans 12:12 and family activities accompanied each day of prayer.
The 7 Days of Prayer culminated with a Family Prayer & Worship Night at the end of the week. That night, over 200 adults and kids gathered together in our auditorium to worship and pray as a family.

THE GALEMORE FAMILY I was invited to serve in the Children’s Ministry on Easter almost 10 years ago. The first Sunday I served I was in The Park with 2nd and 3rd graders. After that first Sunday I was hooked. I could not wait to get back in there with those kids. They truly inspired me. The conversations that elementary age kids were having about loving Jesus and loving each other moved me. Fast forward to now, our entire family is serving and we love it. My three daughters and I all serve in Children's Ministry, and my husband, Adam, serves in our Youth Ministry as the Youth Director on staff. Getting involved and serving as a family is truly a blessing. As a mom, I honestly do not know a greater feeling than seeing your children serving others and being excited to do so! We are doing life together and have developed meaningful relationships that we know we can count on. And the conversations we have as a family about serving Christ will last a lifetime.
