KipTraq continues to expand its mobile data collection and analytics platform to solve problems for both growers and processors. It has more than 60 customers using KipTraq on a daily basis, capturing more than 50,000 transactions every single day. It can now print PTI stickers, harvest tickets, and more from either Android or Apple devices, even without an internet connection! It can push data captured in the field directly to Famous and other ERP solutions. KipTraq can automate a company’s food safety program, equipment PMs, CCPs, pathogen sampling, inventory, sanitation, receiving quality checks, or any of the more than 5,000 tasks that it can now manage. Inteligistics’ InteliView digital data platform provides end-to-end visibility in perishable supply chains which creates efficiency and decision-making benefits to grower/shippers. It is capable of monitoring key performance indicators (KPI) and creates alerts when process delays and product quality issues are identified. It facilitates corrective actions to avoid product rejection or deep discounting by customers. It eliminates bottlenecks and gaps, and improves efficiency, agility, and resilience in the supply chain. Additionally, the digital data provides for predictive analytics including shelf-life, traceability, and sustainability. InteliView provides supply chain control by leveraging data from every facet of the operation which is essential for companies to continue strengthening their competitive advantage and be prepared to deal with unexpected challenges. LahakX, the spraying drone swarming and spot-spraying pioneer, announced the completion of its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements and, as a result—its readiness to start generating revenues based on its innovative spraying drone solution. Additional regulatory assets that the company achieved enable commercial spraying by swarms of drones in California. “LahakX has been working with the FAA for two years to complete the regulatory process. We are excited to begin spraying operations and appreciate the complexity and thoroughness of the FAA throughout the certification phase. The extremely limited number of companies approved by the FAA to perform agricultural drone operations uniquely positions LahakX to immediately begin serving the industry,” said Dave Woodland, Vice President of Operations at LahakX. iFoodDS is moving out of the WG Center for Innovation and Technology offices in Salinas to a new office in Monterey to better accommodate its growing customer base. iFoodDS continues to enhance its comprehensive food supply chain platform for food safety, traceability, and quality management. iFoodDS announces the release of a new Food Safety enhancement supporting Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP). Available through the iFoodDS Food Safety solution suite, our FSVP functionality supports the ability to digitally capture and verify foreign suppliers enabling compliance with FSMA and FSVP. The iFoodDS solution is flexible and configurable to specific workflows and needs, helping importers quickly and easily capture FSVP requirements ensuring a safe, diverse, and abundant food supply. HotSpot AG is a farm management tool developed by a fourth-generation family farm to simplify irrigation management. With an interface that is used by all farm personnel and accessible by any smartphone, tablet, or computer, farms can see and control what is happening on their farm in real time. The intuitive irrigation scheduling tool allows farms to easily execute complex irrigation and fertigation strategies and log total water applied per field and farm. Pump management is simplified with Time-of-Use avoidance, energy and power monitoring, flow and flow total monitoring, groundwater level reporting, automatic off-peak reservoir fill, and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) integrations. Notifications are easily configured to inform growers, irrigators or agronomists about the events on the farm that they want to know about. With three California locations and supporting over 100 ranches in 17 different counties, HotSpot Ag has a way to fill the monitoring and/or automation needs of all growers. GeoVisual continues to build easy to adopt, low-cost specialty crop measurement and scheduling tools that help make decisions to save money and time. Built on a company-confidential basis, without the need for expensive changes to the existing IT systems, the company’s work integrates into the way each group likes to operate. Using experience from boots on the ground, combined with ongoing research with NASA, USDA and collaborations with grower-shipper associations, GeoVisual specialists focus on what the biggest problems or opportunities a company faces. The firm is funded by family and friends, and notes that a user will always own its own confidential data.
