The Senior Project Manager (Contracts) will play a key role in developing relationships with Balfour Beatty and monitoring the performance of the Contract by all parties including the performance by the University of its obligations. The role will initially oversee the delivery of East Slope up to completion and be involved in preparing for commencement of and then will oversee delivery of West Slope. This is an important role within the University and with the combined contract value in excess of £300m these projects

Purpose of the post:
are of two of the largest University Accommodation Projects in the UK.
In 2017 the University entered into a long-term partnership arrangement with Balfour Beatty to provide c2,000 new Student Residences on Campus know as East Slope Residences. Under the partnership Balfour Beatty will design, build, finance and operate the site for a period of 50 years post construction completion. Construction of these residences is well underway with the initial phases delivered. The final phase will be completed in December 2020. At Financial Close of East Slope a subsequent project was identified on the West side of campus capable of providing a further c2,000 Student Residences. The University intends for this project to be secured under a similar long term arrangement. It is envisaged that the West Slope Residences Project will reach financial close and be ready to commence construction contiguous with the completion of East Slope. This role is therefore a long term position for a Senior Project Manager (Contracts) to oversee the contract obligations of the University and to ensure that the University receives the requirements of the contract from its partner.
The University is therefore looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Contracts) to join its growing Estates and Facilities Management.
