Une directrice générale intérimaire à Casselman

Le conseil du village de Casselman a nommé une directrice générale intérimaire lors de sa dernière réunion du conseil le mardi 23 janvier. Linda Desjardins-Bergeron a été nom- mée officiellement afin de remplacer Daniel Gatien. Ce dernier a quitté tem- porairement ses fonctions en raison d’un congé de maladie. Selon le règlement municipal adopté, ce changement de direction est en vigueur depuis le 10 janvier dernier, une date qui n’a pas fait l’affaire de tous. Avant l’adoption du règlement, la conseillère Anik Charron s’est dit en dé- saccord avec la date d’entrée en fonction de Mme Desjardins-Bergeron. « On aurait pu avoir une réunion ex- traordinaire pour la nommer avant au- jourd’hui. Je ne suis donc pas d’accord avec la clause de la date » a-t-elle partagé. Mais le maire Lamadeleine ne voyait quant à lui aucune différence entre nom- mer Mme Desjardins-Bergeron à son nou- veau poste lors de la réunion ordinaire de mardi dernier ou tenir une réunion extraordinaire au cours de la semaine du 10 janvier. Par la même occasion, Mme Desjar- dins-Bergeron a également été nommée au titre de greffière adjointe intérimaire.

Kin Club of Russell open house The Kin Club of Russell is hosting an open house at Russell Meadows on Monday, February 5 at 7 p.m., to reveal the residents’ survey the Kin Club conducted. The Club conducted a month-long township-wide survey to determine what the residents of the community wanted the Kin Club of Russell to work on for its next project, as the Russell Township Sports Dome project has been completed. As well as revealing the results of the survey, the Kin Club will also do a presentation highlighting the purpose of Kin Canada and specific projects the Club is working on. All those who completed the survey have had their name placed in a draw for a corporate table of eight at RocKIN’ Away With Diamonds with Eddy & The Stingrays, February 17 at Russell High School. They will also be giving away a $500.00 pair of diamond earrings that night, thanks to Bijoutier Longtin Jeweler.
