A Splendid Season Nā Kama O Kapua (NKOK) finished strong at the Moloka‘i Channel Relay.
Three OCC relay crews and their coaches camped at Hale O Lono beach on the south shore of Moloka‘i and paddled back to O‘ahu. They took home first, second and third place wins in the Junior Girls Division. In addition, partners Sabrina Graves and Eva Sandvold won first place in the overall Women’s Relay Division. Congratulations to all the girls for a great 2023 solo craft season!
Tri Bourne won gold at the 2023 AVP New Orleans beach volleyball tournament back in April—with new partner Chaim Schalk— and his sister Britta Lau was right there with him to celebrate. “It’s so cool to see things come full circle. My sister was around for so much of my early years of volleyball at Outrigger, so it was pretty special to get the win at the first event she’s seen me play at, outside of Hawai‘i,“ said Bourne.
