Portfolio Payroll (headline sponsor) This year, Portfolio Payroll were excited to be celebrating twenty years as headline sponsor for NPW! It was fantastic to see so many familiar payroll faces – in real life – at the launch drinks. We’ve also enjoyed the buzz when speaking to our loyal clients and candidates alike, reflecting on, not only the challenges of the past year, but also the positive developments, including elevation of the payroll profession. Having experienced unprecedented volumes of payroll opportunities in recent months, we are pleased to see new emerging payroll talent and proud to be supporting those moving up the career ladder within the industry. We loved seeing everyone getting involved throughout the week, decorating their offices, nominating their #PayrollHeroes and taking part in online webinars across the UK.
Access People Payroll has a significant impact on the levels of trust, engagement and culture in a workplace. We therefore feel it is important to celebrate NPW to recognise the responsibility payroll professionals have within an organisation in driving that. With changes in general data protection regulation (GDPR) legislation and contracting laws in recent years, payroll has become increasingly complex. It has had to evolve to include reporting and forecasting to support business growth and the demands of employees. A critical role to play in any business, payroll certainly deserves recognition and celebration. The week is great promotion for payroll as a career.
Ceridian
Ceridian celebrated NPW this year at the CIPP’s drinks reception, held at the beautiful Sheraton Park Hotel on Park Lane – how fantastic it was to be reunited, toasting the keyworker status of the payroll profession! We also held a competition at Ceridian for the most creative social media post, promoting this critical industry and its achievements during the past twelve months. If you browse LinkedIn, you can see some of the entries with extra special guests (mainly pets!), beautiful scenery and some great music.
