Our Activities programme aims to provide an effective balance between academic enrichment, cultural pursuit and sporting endeavour. The Activities Programme is fundamental to enhancing the soft skills that are so important in the globalised world that our children are moving into, as well as giving opportunities to try a variety of different experiences.

All pupils take CCF in the Third Form and then their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award in the Fourth Form. Additionally in the Fourth Form all pupils do at least one term of Community Service. An understanding of service and gaining a perspective on the role that we play in our local and global community is a vital component of any well-rounded education and it is important that our pupils gain this outlook. Pupils are also able to enhance classroom learning with educational trips including visits to London’s galleries and theatres, Year 7 French trip to Calais, GCSE History Field Trip to the Somme, and many other local field trips. There are also wonderful opportunities to travel further afield and gain new experiences, for example, trips have recently been undertaken to South Africa, Iceland, CERN in Switzerland, United States and Italy.

Our Activities Programme, therefore, aims to complement the academic curriculum and offer a wide variety of exciting, challenging and developmental activities that will enhance their self-awareness, skills and competencies. Some of the activities in our programme include: Model United Nations, Young Enterprise, Coding Club, Dissection Club, Biomedical Society, Debating, Charity, Care Home Visits, Drama, Creative Writing, Cooking, Scientific Newsletter, Choir, Sports Excellence and many more.
