C’était un weekend réussi pour les Hawks de Hawkesbury qui ont gagné leurs deux matchs. Premièrement, les Hawks ont battu les Canadians de Carleton Place 4-3, le vendredi 19 octobre, après avoir été eux-mêmes défaits par les Canadians la semaine der- nière. Carleton Place a marqué le premier but du match à trois secondes de la fin de la première période. C’est Ryland Mosley qui a marqué, assisté par Zachary Tupker. Hunter Duchesne a riposté pour les Hawks avec son but au début de la deu- xième période. Les Canadians ont ensuite repris la tête 3-1 avec deux buts, un de Cade Townend et l’autre d’Andrej Hromic. Dans les trois dernières minutes de la troisième période, les Hawks sont revenus en force pour équilibrer le match. Jeremie Lavallée a marqué un but à 17:47 et Zachary Fournier a ensuite emmené le score à 3-3, neuf secondes avant la fin de la période. Aucune des équipes n’a compté durant la période supplémentaire, mais Patrick Callahan a scellé la victoire pour les Hawks dans la cinquième série de tirs au but. The Vankleek Hill Cougars split another weekend schedule of their games in the National Capital Junior Hockey League. The Cougars clipped the Clarence Creek Castors 4-2 on home ice Saturday night but got scratched up bad by the Eagles Sunday night in St. Isidore. Scoring for the Cougars October 20 were Tyler Dopelhamer with two and singles from Jonathan Leblanc and Keean McEachern. Assisting on the goals were Nicolas Caston- guay, Vincent Huneault, and Trystan Lavoie, with Sébastien Moreau guarding the net. Goals for Clarence Creek came from Tyler Baker, Patrick Lemay, and Nathan Melée. Goal assists by Matthew Clifford, Samuel Gaudet, and Raphaël Payant, with Andrew Larivière in the net.
